Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, draughtsman, ceramicist, designer and the most famous, versatile, prolific and influential artist of the twentieth-century. Together with the French painter Georges Braque (1882-1963) Picasso invented Cubism, the first of his revolutionary breakthroughs which caused a complete shift in how art could be made and paved the way for the rest of the major avant garde art movements of the twentieth-century.
