Ian Bosworth

Ian Bosworth was born in the West Midlands in 1970. From an early age drawing and painting has always played an important part in his life. After attending Sutton Coldfield College of Art where he was awarded Art and Design Student of the Year, Ian completed his studies at Falmouth College of Arts and left with a BA Hons. Degree. Ian enjoys watching birds in their natural environment as well as in nature reserves and zoos. Consequently, his travels have taken him to Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Malaysia, Asia, Fiji, America and Canada.

He has exhibited his work at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, taken part in many mixed exhibitions in the West Midlands as well as having a solo show in London. Ian's gifted depiction of birds distinguishes him as one of the most outstanding wildlife painters of his generation. Notoriously difficult to capture, Ian has succeeded in portraying these wild birds with immense detail and great aplomb. Using a varied palette that swings from the subtlest blues and greys of the Little Egret, to the most vividly brilliant greens, reds and yellows of his Parrot, he can bring to life his pictures to reflect the true wonder of nature.

With his status still in its ascendancy, Ian Bosworth is a name to remember and an artist to watch; few have this man's talent.
