Guy Edwards

Taught artistic skills early in life by his father who was an architect and an artist, Guy’s gift was recognised when he was offered a place at Falmouth School of Art at the age of 15 - something of a rarity at the time.

At that point, however, Guy was also keen to pursue a career in music and went on to own a commercial recording studio. During these years, and as a song-writer, his projects included UK tours with The Damned and Hugh Cornwell from The Stranglers as well as gigs at The Reebok Stadium Bolton, Old Trafford Stadium Manchester, Rugby World Cup Cardiff, Max Power Show Birmingham and the Liverpool Cavern Club.

Although Guy’s painting and drawing continued in his free time; it was not until some years later, upon meeting the girl who would become his wife, that Guy was inspired to change the path of his career and dedicate each day to his figurative oil paintings. Guy’s work encapsulates the beauty of the female form, often depicted against the beauty of landscapes across the globe.
